Important note: Before installing VirtualBox, it is recommended that you manually create a system restore point, as one of our systems cannot start properly after recording this episode, and thus needed a restore.
PS: We chose to use Oracle VirtualBox in favour of other emulators (e.g. Windows Virtual PC) due to its advanced functionality. For example, this emulator can install and run Windows 8 RP (Release Preview), while most other emulators simply displayed a blue screen during installation.
[About remake: This episode is a remake of the Computer Advise episode 3, Run an Operating System in Windows for free, which was published on 3 December 2008. Our objective of remaking selected episodes is that we wish to live up to our name of being an elite computer show. As such, because we observed that these episodes did not meet this criteria, we decided to remake them. This is just one of a few episodes selected for remake.]
